Polish soprano Julia Szproch graduated with distinction from the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, and then from the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel, where she studied under Master José van Dam.
She has performed on major stages across Europe, notably in Handel’s Messiah at the Royal Palace of Brussels, in the title role of The Cunning Little Vixen at the Opéra Bastille, as well as at La Monnaie in Pénélope (Fauré) and Le Silence des ombres (Attahir). She has also performed Mozart’s Requiem, Haydn’s Die Schöpfung, Brahms’ German Requiem, and Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater.
A curious and versatile artist, she explores a world that goes beyond the boundaries of classical music, drawing inspiration from jazz, acoustic music, minimalist pop, and electronic music. Her repertoire ranges from Handel to Janáček, and her contemporary influences include artists such as Björk and Radiohead.
